Yes, we're still here! Summer has just been so action-packed...who wants to come inside to blog when the weather is so nice out?! So much time has passed since my last blog that I can't even remember what we've been up to...apparently nothing really exciting. We're trying to spend as much time as we can outside before the six months of winter show up! Kaitlyn flew a kite for the first time last week...Daddy helped her and they had a ton of fun. Grandma M came up for a visit last weekend...we went to Mom's Night Out together with some girlfriends and of course did some shopping. And she babysat so Wayne and I could have a little date...mmmm Carabba's! Thanks for babysitting, Mom! Grandma even joined us at Sauder Village on Labor Day! Kaitlyn got to milk a cow (Ok, it was fake...but it still squirted!), collect chicken eggs and play in a way cool playhouse...she loved it! We even visited the old fashioned candy shop there and got some chocolate covered pretzels and fudge...mmm!
In Kaitlyn news...she is a ham! Yacking our ears off about every little detail of the world! Sometimes I just want her to be quite because she talks non-stop and won't let me get a word in! But it's so fun to hear the questions she comes up with or the little things she says...tonight she told me "It's way past late...and it's dark outside...that means it's bedtime." She's really picking up language quickly now too...she can count to 10 in Spanish and knows some colors in Spanish too! With her third birthday just a couple months away, there are a few things we really need to get busy with...her first dentist appointment, night time potty training, starting to research preschools, not to mention the all-important party to plan! Fun times ahead, folks!
