Yup, it's official...we OWN our car! Wayne made the last payment on it tonight...yippee!! This is only the second car we've bought since we've been together and our first one we traded in before we paid it off to get our Envoy. What a nice feeling to not have a car payment!
We're making it through winter pretty well, I'd say. We've been busy enough that this winter hasn't been so blah...although, now that mid-March is here, I'm officially sick of snow and am ready to play outside. We have gotten out a few times recently, now that the snow is finally gone. Every time we drive past a playground or park Kaitlyn asks if we can play there...I think she's itching to get outside too.
In a couple weeks, we're taking Kaitlyn & Aundrea to Sesame Street Live (The Elmo Show), but SHHH because they don't know yet! We took Kaitlyn to this last year and she loved it...I can't wait to surprise them with this! We're also hoping to take her bowling for the first time soon too.
Kaitlyn's been starting to stay dry at night a lot more lately, or sometimes she'll get up in the middle of the night to go potty. HOPEFULLY the end of night time Pullups is in sight! Yesterday I started doing her "Responsibility Chart" with her. It doesn't have too many 'chores' on it yet...just simple things like Stay Dry, Get Dressed, Say Please and Thank You, Help with Inside Chores (she helps me change up laundry and unload the dishwasher sometimes), Pick up Toys (in the living room at the end of the day), Clean Her Room (before bed each night) and Get Ready for Bed (putting her own jammies on). We'll see how long her excitement lasts with this! She's really getting smart...doing lots of rhyming words and knowing the sound/letter that words start with. She's normally very good at rhyming, but today she said "Does W rhyme with stubbayou?" Ha ha! Well, she's right...that does rhyme...it's just not real words! LOL!
