Last night we took Kaitlyn to her first ever baseball game! Grandpa Maloch and Uncle Paul were passing through Toledo and wanted to see a Mud Hens game...really, I think that was just an excuse to come see Kaitlyn! He he! First we ate at THE Tony Packo's and then it was off to the ball game. Kaitlyn kept saying "ba-ball aaay" (translation: "baseball yay!") and clapping when the crowd clapped. Let me tell you, keeping a toddler entertained at a stadium is a job! We were packed into the seats like sardines and I had to keep Kaitlyn on my lap...no fun for a toddler who wants to run around all the time! We quickly exhausted our books, toys, drink and snacks before the game was half over, so we checked out the kids play area in the stadium...it's great that they offer something like that, but they need to make it a MUCH bigger area because it was PACKED with little kids! Then it was back to our seats...by now it was past Kaitlyn's bed time so she was a little happier to snuggle up on my lap and read some books. The game didn't get over 'til around 11pm because they ended up going to 12 innings and they eventually lost 5 to 3...bummer! So Kaitlyn promtly fell asleep for the car ride home and then went right to bed...no book reading or anything...she was zonked! Here are some pictures from the ball game:
