You guessed it...those are the words of the week! We REALLY have to watch what we say these days...even if we're not talking TO Kaitlyn, she's really repeating a lot of what we say! She loves to tell the doggies to "hush!" even if we don't tell them to! As soon as they bark now she says "hush doggie!"...it's like she's reading my mind! Ha ha! She's also started using the word "no" more often...thankfully not to us so much though...yet...but she likes to tell the doggies "no" and today she kept telling her stuffed flower "no no flower no"...not sure why she was telling the flower no...but anyways! Her favorite phrase lately is "uh-oh!" though...I swear she drops things on purpose just so she can say "uh-oh!"...or if a page in her book is torn she says "uh-oh!" She also learned how to make her Elmo puppet work...there's a button inside him that makes him sing a song...at the end it says "hooray hooray hooray"...so of course, she kept trying to say "hooray" which came out more like "hu-way". Ha!
Our weekend was nice and relaxing...Wayne got to go golfing, which he hasn't done much this summer...and I took Kaitlyn on her first train ride on Saturday...the Bluebird Express...that's the train that goes right by our house! So that was fun! We met up with Gavin's family and both the kids loved it. Kaitlyn was pretty crabby at first because she had just woke up from her nap...but she came around. There was a clown on the train that made her a cute flower out of a balloon...so she kept saying "ba-yoon fower". The train ride was just over an hour long...good thing it wasn't any longer because she was ready to get out and run some energy off as soon as the ride was over! They even let the kids go up in the engine, which was pretty cool. Although, the conductor blew the train horn, which was SUPER loud and that scared the ba-jeez-uhs out of Gavin! Then it was off to dinner at Chowder's...where Kaitlyn made a huge mess with her mac-n-cheese...sorry to that poor bus-boy who had to clean it up!
Tomorrow we're taking a day trip to Cleveland for my Grandma's funeral...so a sad occasion, but it seems like funerals and weddings are the only time we get to see so many of our relatives...so it'll be nice to see all our cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. Well, I think that's a wrap!
Kaitlyn & I riding the Bluebird Express!
Kaitlyn, Gavin & Justin playing on the tracks...don't worry...the train was parked!
Tonight we had spaghetti for dinner...can you tell?
