Happy 21 Month Birthday to Kaitlyn!

Can you believe she'll be two in just three more months?! Let the party planning begin! She's certainly ACTING like a "terrible two" year old already...temper tantrums, whining, skipping naps, whining, throwing things, whining...did I mention the whining? Hopefully, she's working on cutting her eye teeth through...then we can blame the whining on that! But, along with the "not-so-fun" toddler things, come the FUN ones...lots of talking, singing, pottying and mimicking us...which is adorable...and it makes it all worth it!

We had a fun weekend (except the part about her skipping naps!)...Saturday we went to Sauder Village with Gavin and his family. The kids loved it and we had a great time too. They have a new toddler area with lots of hands on activities: a cow to milk, a chicken coop with eggs to collect, a play house, plus all the animals to see! Kaitlyn and Gavin held hands and kissed...they even drew attention from some older ladies, who thought they were just adorable! But we already knew that! Sunday we did the usual "home" things...yardwork, cleaning, etc...it was a beautiful day so we enjoyed playing outside. And today Kaitlyn and I joined another "mom" friend at the library in BG, which has a SUPER kids area! So she got to play with a doll house, train table, kitchen set, etc...lots of fun! We even made a trip to Walmart afterwards and escaped without a screaming fit! Woo!

Ooooh! Big potty news today! After an almost 2 week break from even trying to use the potty, I asked her to go last night and she did...and I asked her to go again tonight and she did!! Woo, that's 2 days in a row again...so we'll try for a record breaking 3 days in a row tomorrow! Ha ha!

This week we're gearing up for our Hocking Hills trip! We're leaving early Friday morning and staying through the weekend. We're staying at the same cabin we did 2 years ago, when I was pregnant with Kaitlyn...I'm excited to actually get to sit IN the hot tub this time, instead of just dangling my feet in it! Grandma Maloch is joining us (along with some of our friends) to be on "baby duty" while we do some hiking! BIG thanks to Grandma! Hopefully, Kaitlyn will be the angel that Grandma thinks she is and NOT the terrible toddler she has been the last couple of days! :o)
Daddy helping Gavin push Kaitlyn in the wheel barrel at Sauder Village!

Kaitlyn grabbed Gavin's hand to hold while we walked!

Then she leaned in for the kiss!
