We're back and sunburned! Wayne & I both had a wonderful time on vacation! The cruise ship was great, the food was amazing, the weather was hot & sunny (most the time) and it was very relaxing! It was so nice to get some "couples time" together, but we both really missed Kaitlyn while we were gone! Thanks again to Aunt Ruth, Grandma Maloch and Auntie Kelly for watching Kaitlyn while we were gone! We REALLY appreciated it! Here's the play by play of our vacation!
Thursday: Boarded the ship, found our teeny little stateroom on the ship, enjoyed some yummy food, checked out the ship & tried to find our way around (Who'd have thought you could get lost on a boat?), relaxed in the sun.
Friday: Layed in the sun, ate, layed in the sun, ate some more (This is how most of the days went!), checked out the casino, played bingo and won $140 (Eeeek!!), got all fancied up for formal dinner night (We looked hot! He he!), ate lobster (YUM!), went to a comedy show.
Saturday: Woke up early to go to Grand Cayman Island, took a tender boat from our ship to the island, walked around for an hour or so waiting for our shore excursion to begin, chased around a wild mother hen and her chicks, laughed at how the cars on Grand Cayman drive on the "wrong side" of the road, rode another boat out to our excursion site, swam with stingrays (YES, real live stingrays!!) which was totally insane, freaked out because they kept touching me, finally got used to them so I pet them, fed them fish, picked one up (OMG I was soooo scared!), fed them some more fish, kept petting them because they were so soft, got back on the boat to head to the next stop, went snorkeling by a reef with a bunch of "Dori" fish (You know, from 'Finding Nemo'), realized we don't know how to snorkel, inhaled a bunch of water and then figured it out, got rained on, got back in the boat to head back to the island, shopped in some gift shops, got back on the tender boat to go back to our ship (We rode LOTS of boats today!), went to another fantastic dinner where they gave me a mini birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to me, saw another comedy show and zonked out!
Sunday: Ditto Friday...eat, lay out, eat, lay out, realized I fried my buns in the sun (OUCH!)...ate another yummy dinner and watched an amazing sunset, went to another show that evening and got a cool Coco Loco Monkey drink...yum!
Monday: Arrived back in Tampa, watched the sun come up, found out that some "illegal" jumped overboard from our ship in the bay so he wouldn't have to go through customs to get back into the U.S.! (Ha ha, what a nut!) Then got a rental car, drove around Tampa, then up to Clearwater/St. Pete, went to the beach, realized we didn't have any beach towels, hit up a beach store for towels, headed back to the beach, went swimming for hours, layed on the beach, checked into our hotel and fell asleep, layed by the pool, ate another yummy dinner at some little local place, fell asleep exhausted from vacation!
Tuesday: Arrived in Toledo at 10am...vacation is over! Arrived home around 10:20 and hugged and kissed our little girl, who we missed like crazy!
Misc. stuff: Cruise food is spectacular...you really do eat pretty much the entire time! Ha ha! Our waiter guy was great...his name was Ronoldo and he was really fun. The people at our dining table were great too...we really became friends with one couple who was from Detroit...they were about our age and we really hit it off with them, so that was fun. We got to see some amazing sunsets/sun rises...and the bluest water you could imagine! It's a little eery being in the middle of the ocean with absolutely NOTHING around you...for days! The water at Grand Cayman was so clear too, and aqua green, but it was cloudy when we were there, so the pictures don't do it justice. We were both a little bummed that we got so little time on the island, but it was still a great experience. We both say next cruise we want to be longer with more ports of call.
I did better than I thought being away from Kaitlyn...Wayne called home every night to check in, so that made it a little easier, knowing that everything was A-ok! Everyone said she had no trouble going to sleep at night and was generally happy, minus a few normal tantrums here and there. Grandma Maloch said Kaitlyn wore her out...I said "No kidding!" Ha ha! She is getting to be a handfull! When we got home this morning I swore she had grown an inch or two taller and that her hair was an inch longer too! She looked different after less than a week! Ha ha! She also surprised us with some new words...bus, sink, couch and phone (Which is more like 'hone' Ha ha! )! And she's climbing even more now than when we left...Aunt Ruth and Grandma M. said she now likes to climb up in her high chair all by herself...and one day Kaitlyn climbed up on top of our kitchen table and was standing on it when Aunt Ruth came out of the bathroom! YIKES! Glad I wasn't there to see that one! :o) I put a TON of pics on our shutterfly site: http://www.wayneandlori.shutterfly.com/ (Ask me if you need the password!)...but here are a few too...enjoy!

Wow what an awesome trip! I'm glad you had such a good time! How was Wayne able to call home? I didn't know the cells would work from there! Or maybe it was a lan line lol.
