A Very Productive Day!

It is amazing what you can get done when you don't have a toddler tugging on your leg! I have finally realized how much free time I USED to have pre-baby! Ha! Not that I want to send Kaitlyn 'back' or anything...it's just so much harder to get things done with her around! So yesterday I took Kaitlyn over to Grandma Brennan's house for a few hours...thank you Grandma! I was able to make phone calls, get bills paid, clean bathrooms, etc...it was nice to have the house to myself...wish I could have enjoyed a more relaxing time, but it felt good to get a lot accomplished!

We also went to Portrait Innovations for 18 month pictures...again...yesterday morning. The pictures turned out pretty well, although not as good as her 12 month pictures (I think). It's much harder to keep an 18 month old sitting/standing in a specific spot...she was running away from the photographer, wanting to check out the other kids there, play on the Lego table, etc! Picture taking is hard work! But we got some good ones, as you'll see on the shutterfly site!

Today we're trying to figure out how to keep our crazy kid contained...we can't keep her from opening doors! The 'lock' things that I got aren't really working...well they work, but for example, we put one on the basement door, well then if you're down in the basement, you're locked in! Ha! So it keeps Kaitlyn upstairs, but whoever is downstairs is trapped because you can't open it from the inside! So, we have to figure something else out. Aunt Ruth gave her ketchup for the first time today...to get her to eat chicken...and she loved it! And of course, now she gets excited to see the "etchup" bottle!
