Happy Memorial Day!!

What a FUN weekend! For us not really having anything planned, we sure were busy! Ha! Sunday we went to church and then to a cookout with Kelly & Micah and her family. It was a really fun time! Good food, lots of volleyball, good friends to visit with...it was very nice! Kaitlyn's buddy Gavin was there too, so they had a blast playing together. They both loved this cute little toddler sized chair and they kept climbing in and out of it. Then Kaitlyn discovered dirt and Gavin showed her how to get dirty! Kaitlyn was like the Energizer Bunny...she napped about 10 minutes between church and the cookout...and then didn't nap 'til around 7-8pm...then she was up and ready to party some more! We were having a good time so decided to stay late and see how Kaitlyn did with 'missing' her bed time...she was really good...happy to be outside...then she went right to bed when we got home around 11pm...and slept 'til 9 this morning! Now we know the secret to getting her to sleep in...tire her out, don't let her nap, and keep her up super late! Ha...not the healthiest option I'm guessing!
Today Kaitlyn & I went to the parade in Sylvania while Daddy slept in. We joined Gavin and his family there and again had a great time! The kids were pretty good waiting for the parade to start...they kept "sharing"...or stealing...each others toys and cups! Kaitlyn loved watching all the people (as did Mommy) and Gavin really liked all the cars and trucks! They both kept making car sounds ("vooom") and horse noises ("ney ney") during the parade! Very cute watching them together at this age...they are so smart! They also passed out flags at the parade...Kaitlyn had a good time waving it around...but we put an end to that because it was coming awfully close to eyes, etc! After the parade, we picked up Daddy and went to lunch at McDonalds! I figured we ate a bunch of crap food already this weekend...what the heck! It's kind of fun to be the one who gets to "spoil" her with junk food sometimes...I rarely get to because EVERYONE else does it so much that Mommy has to be the "responsible one"...but not today! :o) Then we headed to the market here in Waterville to get flowers and veggies to plant. The lady who owns the market knows us fairly well and is always excited to see Kaitlyn. She even let us go back to the barn to see their mini horses! They are only a couple feet tall and oh so cute! So Kaitlyn was excited to pet their hair and she even tried kissing them...but Mommy was a little grossed out by that! He he! So then it was back home so Kaitlyn could nap and we did yard work...and got a nice little sun tan too!
So that was our fun weekend, in a nutshell! There are TONS of pictures on Shutterfly now...here's a little taste! :o)
